We have added three timber cottages on the lower ridge, built by the same crew that built the originals.
Construction finished in October and the three new cottages on the lower ridge are now taking bookings. They follow the same design as the Joom cottages, with a few changes we learned from four years of guest feedback.
What changed
Wider decks, better insulation for the cold months, and a covered walkway so the path to the restaurant works in heavy rain. Each cottage now has its own outdoor seating that is genuinely private rather than overlooking a neighbour.
Built the same way
The same crew of local carpenters built these, using timber sourced within the district. Nothing was trucked in from outside except the glass.
